A World Peace Flag Ceremony at the 11:11 Star Knowledge 30th Anniversary Conference.
June 14, 2026
On Sunday, June 14th, in Pickstown, South Dakota, the universal message May Peace Prevail On Earth was carried through flags, voices, drums, prayer, and ceremony.
At the 11:11 Star Knowledge 30th Anniversary Conference, a World Peace Flag Ceremony was offered as part of the legacy event founded by the late Chief Golden Light Eagle and now carried forward by his daughter, Nikki Zephier.
The gathering took place on the lands of the Ihanktawon Nation where much of the teachings of the Star Knowledge was received through prayers and ceremonies.
Friends and relatives from all four directions gathered to commemorate this occasion with speakers who shared their wisdom over the 3-day weekend closing with the World Peace Flag Ceremony presented by Fumi, Executive Director of MPPOEI.

Every country of the world was honored. Indigenous Nations were honored. The Indigenous Unity Flag was raised and waved, and together, participants held the prayer:
May Peace Prevail On Earth.
The Ceremony was accompanied by the powerful vibration of drums and song led by Rising Hail and a circle of drummers while the flags of the world embraced the spirit of one global family. Among the Lakota people, the drum holds deep cultural and symbolic meaning. Smithsonian Folkways describes the drum as occupying “a position of great cultural and symbolic power,” regarded as a living entity, a spiritual guardian, a musical instrument, a living tradition, and a connection to the past.

The Flag Ceremony has been presented at Star Knowledge Conferences in the past with Chief Golden Light Eagle and holds a deep resonance with Fumi.

“Our star knowledge relatives truly resonate with the spirit of the Flag Ceremony and deeply feel the work that is being done for the healing of souls and the healing of nations. We stand in one purpose for the awakening of the human spirit. I am always touched to be in ceremony with our star family.”

Through the World Peace Flag Ceremony each flag becomes an invitation to remember the human family, and each flag bearer becomes a carrier of peace. Each country name we speak becomes a moment of prayer and the sacred drums amplify our prayers in all four directions. The raising of the Indigenous Unity Flag at the end honors our First Nations, the wisdom of ancestral traditions and their dedication to uplift Mother Earth.
We are grateful to MPPOE friends DJ Battiest and her brother Grey Eagle from Oklahoma, who brought the Flag of the Choctaw Nation to the ceremony to connect us to their ancestral legacy.
