Peace Garden Project Ploughshares, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

I have attached three photographs related to the Peace Garden, where the Peace Pole in question has been for at least 24 years.  This garden in St. Catherines, Ontario was donated to the city by Project Ploughshares Niagara.

This garden has a unique connection to the Japanese community.  The fountain you see was donated by a survivor of the Hiroshima nuclear attack.  We hold a lantern service annually to, “Never Forget” the first use of nuclear weapons.
