Peace Pole planted in Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia

On Monday, 11th August, we are happy to announce that the Rotary Club of Campbelltown in New South Wales, Australia has installed our First Peace Pole in the Macarthur region. It was installed at the school of our dedicated member, Kerrie, Campbelltown East Public School.

Our Club President, Teresita, also presented a Friendship Flag to the School Principal, Mrs. Cook, as a symbol of our commitment to promoting peace and community service.

A special thank you to our Club Peace Pole Coordinator & President-Elect, Iruni, for liasing with Peace Poles Oceania (we appreciate their guidance and support) and organising this wonderful initiative 

This is just the beginning of our commitment to spreading peace and unity. We’re excited to share that we will be installing a Peace Pole at a school in the Macarthur region every Rotary Year moving forward 

It’s a small step towards spreading a big message of peace and unity in our community. Let’s continue working together to make the world a little brighter!

This Peace Pole features the phrase “May Peace Prevail on Earth” translated into six languages, reflecting the rich diversity of our school community:

Thank you to our Youth Exchange student, HARU, for offering the Japanese translation during the ceremony, bringing a unique Rotary Overseas fellowship spirit to the event (熊本城東ロータリークラブ)
