Together in Peace: International Day of Peace at Wayne State University
On Monday, September 21, 2026, May Peace Prevail On Earth International joined peace partners, community leaders, students, and guests at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, for a United Nations International Day of Peace celebration and conference.
The gathering, themed Together in Peace ~ One World, One Message of Peace, brought together voices from government, education, healthcare, business, faith communities, veterans, students, and community organizations in a shared commitment to peace, unity, and global cooperation.
Peace partners included the International Day of Peace Planning Committee, Southfield Substance Prevention & Education Coalition, Rotary Action Group for Peace, Great Lakes Rotary Districts 6380, 6400, and 6600, Wayne State University, the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies, May Peace Prevail On Earth International, and the Amigos de la Paz Sustainable Development Awards.
With many students and young peacebuilders present, the gathering offered a meaningful reminder that peace is something we practice, study, build, and share together.
