Planting Peace: Celebrate Global Peace Pole Day on November 22, 2026.
October 30, 2026
A Peace Pole can change the way we see the world.
A Peace Pole standing quietly in a garden, schoolyard, sanctuary, or community space carries a profound invitation:
May Peace Prevail On Earth.
On November 22, we celebrate Global Peace Pole Day, honoring the birthday of Masahisa Goi of Japan, founder of the universal peace message and the global Peace Pole movement.
We invite you to celebrate by planting, dedicating, or rededicating a Peace Pole, creating a visible commitment to peace that can inspire generations.
When a Peace Pole Speaks to the Heart

Becky Suzik of May Peace Prevail On Earth International recalls her first encounter with a Peace Pole in 2012, during a retreat at The Light Center in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
Walking toward the labyrinth, she discovered an eight-language Peace Pole, each side carrying the same message in a different language.
She remembers standing there, awestruck by its beauty and the quiet urgency of its message.
“I could feel the pulse of the earth beaming and beating through it.”
The experience left a lasting impression, connecting her own longing for inner peace with the collective well-being of all life on Earth.
Today, the words May Peace Prevail On Earth have become a daily blessing, a source of comfort, and a reminder of something to aspire to in our own hearts.
This is the beautiful gift of a Peace Pole. It invites us to pause, reflect, and remember that peace begins within, yet extends far beyond ourselves.
A Peace Pole Dedication ~ An Act of Peace
Planting a Peace Pole is itself an act of peace.
A dedication can be simple and intimate or a joyful community celebration. Gather your family, friends, neighbors, students, or congregation. Share words of hope, offer a song, plant flowers, invite a moment of silence, or read the message aloud in the languages inscribed on your Peace Pole.

Already have a Peace Pole? Global Peace Pole Day is a wonderful opportunity to renew its dedication, refresh the surrounding garden, and invite others to share in its message.

Each Peace Pole is an outward symbol of our inward commitment to live peace through our thoughts, words, and actions.
