Twenty-eight Peace Poles at the Gardens of the Soul, Bad Kissingen, Germany.

October 15, 2026

On October 15th co-founder of the „Heiligenfeld Clinics in Bad Kissingen, Germany, inaugurated the ‘Gardens of the Soul’.

The project was initiated by Dr. Joachim Galuska, a physician who published a “Call for Life” in 2016 together with more than 20 chief physicians from psychosomatic clinics.

These calls invite a societal dialogue about the growing psychosocial strain, the importance of our soul, and the alternative of a world worth living in.

The Gardens of the Soul are a result of it and work as a permanent place for experiencing the grandeur and depth of our inner world as part of nature and life.

At the Entrance of the Gardens is a path with 28 Peace Poles that read: “MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH”  in 111 languages.

Children from a local school painted each Peace Pole, with school teachers and local artists assisting with writing the peace message.

NOTE: The Peace Pole path leads to various themed gardens:
A Peace Garden—designed in traditional Japanese style with a big world pear bell in its center.
The “Sacred Grove”—an area dedicated to the major world religions.
The “Labyrinth”—a spiral path leading to the center, which symbolizes one’s inner core.
The “Life Journey”—a walking trail through the stages of life: birth, childhood, youth, adulthood, reflection, and death

Then there are the “Chakra Path” and the Forest Stage, along with the Children’s Garden, which features a tunnel and wooden benches for viewing the clouds.

Dagmar Berkenberg gave a welcome speech at the inauguration.

Then the audience consisting of Clinic staff, patients, local politicians and teachers divided into groups and received a tour through the gardens.

May Peace Prevail On Earth International is grateful to Dr. Galuska, who not only financed the 28 Peace Poles but also several other Peace Poles in Mauritius, an island that is very dear to him and his wife.
