At May Peace Prevail On Earth International, we are continually grateful for the communities that gather with sincerity, reverence, and hope to hold the world in peace.
We are honored to share a glimpse from the Elder Youth Gathering at Sunray Peace Village in Lincoln, Vermont, with our friend Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo, the Founder and Spiritual Director of Sunray Meditation Center, where May Peace Prevail On Earth International and friends offered a World Peace Flag Ceremony.
Held each year on the last weekend of July, the Elder Youth Gathering brings people together across generations for sharing, learning, ceremony, and community. Within this sacred and intergenerational gathering, the World Peace Flag Ceremony offered a moment to honor every country of the world and to affirm the universal message: May Peace Prevail On Earth.
During the ceremony, participants raised the flags of the world and offered blessings of peace for each nation, each people, and all life on Earth.
The gathering also included Wings of the Heart ~ Flags of One Family, a beautiful offering that reminds us of our shared humanity and the heart connection that unites us across cultures, generations, and lands.
At the Elder Youth Gathering, this message felt especially meaningful. Elders and youth gathered together, carrying wisdom forward and planting seeds for the future. In that shared space, the prayer May Peace Prevail On Earth became not only a message, but a living practice.
