Garden Route Peace Pole, Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa.
A prominent feature of the Waterfront is the Peace Pole; a handcrafted monument planted near the main entrance. The Peace Pole adds a layer of global significance and spiritual purpose to the Great Brakriver Waterfront.
Professor Elizabeth Smit, donated the Peace Pole, making it Garden route’s first Peace Pole, located at the entrance to the Waterfront.

The Peace Pole at the entrance, is a wonderful addition that truly grounds the Grootbrak Waterfront as a place of community and global connection.
Peace Poles planted throughout South Africa, are as follows:
(2) Peace Poles in Cape Town
(1) Peace Pole on Robin Island
(1) Peace Pole Gqberha ( Port Elizabeth)
The Peace Pole Project promotes Peace Poles-a Symbol of Unity!
