29th annual Gandhi-King Season for Nonviolence, 2026, New York, USA.

On March 27th, the New York Society for Ethical Culture in Manhattan hosted the 29th annual Gandhi-King Season for Nonviolence. This yearly event, honoring both Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi, once again brought together students from across the New York boroughs.

We were grateful to lead the youth in a World Peace Flag Ceremony. In this tradition, young people take the stage to honor every country in the world by region, waving the flags of nearly every nation in a shared vision of peace.

The event also features civil rights speakers alongside youth performances of poetry, dance, choir, and a high school rock band, each reflecting their school’s spirit.
Over the years, the Gandhi-King Season for Nonviolence has become a cornerstone for hundreds of young people and their teachers, offering a chance to be part of something meaningful in the name of peace.
May Peace Prevail On Earth!
