LQHS Unveiled the First and Only Rotary Peace Pole in the Coachella Valley, California, USA

New symbol of hope officially takes root!

La Quinta High School (LQHS) unveiled the first and only Rotary Peace Pole in the Coachella Valley, a powerful reminder that peace begins with each of us. 

The celebration was led by the amazing LQHS Interact Club, advisor Frank Ceja, and the La Quinta Rotary Club, who brought this message of unity, kindness, and connection to campus.

Mr. Ceja shared that the Peace Pole’s message, “May Peace Prevail On Earth,” is inscribed in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Arabic, the four most prevalent languages at LQHS and a beautiful reflection of the school’s IB spirit.

Rotary Club District Governor Nyron McLean is also pictured below, addressing the crowd, while La Quinta Rotary Club President Bruce Cathcart was on hand to help with the unveiling.
