Unity Earth Fields of Healing Flag Ceremony, St. Louis, MO, USA

Global peacemakers gathered in St. Louis, known as the Heart of the Dove, to activate Fields of Healing with a World Peace Flag Ceremony.  The auspicious weekend of August 9th and 10th marked the 80th anniversary of the atomic bomb that fell on Nagasaki and the 11th anniversary year marking the shooting of Michael Browne in Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis.  It also marked one year since an officer was hurt during a riot that took place in front of the Ferguson Police Department.  The weekend payed tribute to these and many other incidents past and present that need healing today.

During the Caravan of Unity hosted by Unity Earth, a Peace Pole was planted by Dr. Marty K.Casey at the Ferguson City Park in 2020.  Five years later, members of Unity Earth returned to activate Fields of Healing in Ferguson, starting with a Peace March with Mayor Ella Jones of Ferguson and members of the Police Department up the street to the Peace Pole.

The World Peace Prayer Ceremony began with prayers of healing within the United States of America followed by prayers for peace to prevail in each country and region of the world.  The program ended with all of us gathered around the Peace Pole where the Park was named The Garden of Joy by the Mayor.

That evening all participants gathered under the St. Louis Arch for more ceremonies to invoke peace and healing within the hearts of humanity as offerings were made in the languages representing the many global peacemakers who were present.
