Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day 2025: Peace Pole Presented to a Traditional Ruler

October 1, 2025

As Nigeria marked its 65th Independence Anniversary, May Peace Prevail on Earth International proudly presented a Desktop Peace Pole to His Royal Highness King Udeme S. Tom, Traditional Ruler of the Northern Afaha Clan in Ukanafun, Nigeria, and Justice of Peace.

The ceremony, attended by members of the Traditional Rulers Council, was a moving celebration of unity and peace. During the event, King Udeme expressed interest in planting a permanent Iron Peace Pole at his palace—an enduring symbol where all visitors may reflect on the universal prayer for world peace: “May Peace Prevail on Earth.”

Traditional Rulers led the World Peace Ceremony with vibrant expressions of harmony: waving peace flags, singing the peace anthem, and signing the Declaration for Peace and Unity. Participants were gifted peace stickers and buttons carrying the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth.”

This meaningful moment in the hinterland stands as a reminder that peace begins within our communities and extends across the world.

May Peace Prevail on Earth.

With respect and gratitude,
Mojima Etokudo
