Veterans for Peace celebrated the installation of a Peace Pole at Hanna Center in Sonoma Tuesday with Rotary Club of Santa Rosa East/West members and Hanna Center staff.

The Peace Pole was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa and Veterans for Peace, which dedicated the Peace Pole at Hanna Center in support of its mission to educate and empower students in a compassionate, trauma-informed environment. The Peace Pole symbolizes the oneness of humanity and collective hope for a peaceful world.

Seifts chosen as acting superintendent of Sonoma Valley Unified School District

“May Peace Prevail On Earth” is written on the Peace Pole in several languages, including English, Spanish, Swahili, Chinese, Arabic and sign language.
