On April 4, 2022 in Lagos, Nigeria our Peace Representative for Nigeria, Mojima Etokudo presented a Peace Pole to St. Gregory College and to our winner Emmanuel Joe-Osodi. Below is the message sent to us from Mojima Etokudo.

The award ceremony and Peace Pole planting at St. Gregory’s College, Ikoyi- Lagos State, Nigeria in honor of Emmanuel Joe-Osodi was great and successful.

The ceremony hall was decorated with peace banner and Emmanuel’s parents and family were present and excited to witness the award ceremony.

The school administrator Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ayeni, the assistant administrator Rev Fr., the Head Teacher and the staff and students of St. Gregory’s College grace the event.

In my team of May Peace Prevail on Earth International, we were there (3) who traveled to Lagos, my secretary Mr. Joseph Boaz who read Jules Loren’s message at the event and Mr. Ben Emonena our supporting staff.

The ceremony began at 10.00am with an opening Prayer and a message from the school administrator welcoming the Peace Pals International team to his school and promised to partner with Peace Pals International in our future events.

I presented my message as the Nigeria Peace Representative, congratulate Emmanuel and the St. Gregory’s College staff for their efforts. I equally introduced the May Peace Prevail on Earth International and her programs including the Peace Pals Art Exhibition, Peace Pole project, United Nations International Day of Peace, International Essay Contest by the Goi Peace Foundation etc.

54 students of the College led the World Peace Ceremony with flags as I read names of countries and our paper flag were raised for prayers. At the end, the Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ayeni prayed for all countries of the world.

I did the presentation of the 1st Place certificate, the winning artwork, Peace Message in other languages of the world and a Desktop Peace Pole with the May Peace Prevail on Earth in English, French, German and Korean to Emmanuel Joe-Osodi.

Emmanuel Joe-Osodi gave his speech and it was thought provoking and encouragement to both young and old.

The school administrator Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ayeni also received a Desktop Peace Pole with the same languages and he was happy to be honored by us.

Finally, the two Rev. Frs received the 7ft iron Peace Pole on behalf of the St. Gregory’s College, Ikoyi Lagos and after taking photographs with other guests. We arrived the site for the Peace Pole planting which Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ayeni did the planting and I guide them on how it is done.

It was a huge success as about 200 participants both students, Teachers, and Guest pray the universal Prayer for peace “May Peace Prevail on Earth”. 200 Stickers were shared to all in attendance.
