Peace Pole Dedication, Townsend, TN

Family installs Peace Pole while all together in Townsend, TN. They were planning to install the Peace Pole for Christmas, but when they discovered their son’s were coming in the first week in December, felt it would be the perfect time.

I have plans for a garden in the spring but for now the blue stones symbolize a medicine wheel.

The Medicine Wheel, sometimes known as the Sacred Hoop, has been used by generations of various Native American tribes for health and healing. It embodies the Four Directions, as well as Father Sky, Mother Earth, and Spirit Tree—all of which symbolize dimensions of health and the cycles of life.
