Peace Pole Planted for Small Community in Schroeder Point, British Columbia, Canada

A beautiful Peace Pole dedication on the shores of Kootenay Lake, at Schroeder Creek in British Columbia, Canada.

Schroeder Point is a small community on the Western Coast of British Columbia located about 14km north of Kaslo, BC. It lies along the Schroeder Creek with breathtaking views that attract travelers to this scenic vista destination. This is where the community decided to plant their symbol of Unity in honor of the International Day of Peace.

18 of the local residents were in attendance for this celebration of the International Day of Peace celebrated on September 23rd, 2019 along Schroeder Creek Bank.

“It was amazing” exclaimed local resident Kay Devine. The Ceremony included residents painting Peace rocks that were placed around the pole, for all to see and treasure.

Thank you to Kay Devine and Community for sharing this story and photos of their Peace Celebration.
