Peace Pole Planted at Royal Palace in Rivers State, Nigeria.

On September 18, 2026, as part of the lead-up to the United Nations International Day of Peace, Nigeria Peace Representative Mojima Etokudo and May Peace Prevail On Earth International held a meaningful Peace Pole planting ceremony in Emohua, Rivers State.
A six-foot iron Peace Pole was planted at the palace of His Royal Majesty King Godspower Onuekwa, Ph.D., Amb. The King was also presented with a desktop Peace Pole inscribed with May Peace Prevail on Earth in Ikwerre, Yoruba, Hausa, and English.
The day also included a visit to Government Secondary School, Emohua, where officials gave students free exercise books. Officials encouraged the students to “invest in peace for everyone, everywhere, every day.”
Traditional rulers, religious leaders, and members of academia joined the ceremony, reflecting a shared commitment to peace throughout the community.
The International Day of Peace grand finale will be held on Monday, September 21, at the Corporate Residence by Echelon Hotel, Williams Jumbo Road, Old GRA, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
