Peace Voices: What does Peace Mean to you? Global
September 16, 2026
In 2025, the Goi Peace Foundation asked young people up to age 30, from many different backgrounds and countries, one simple question:
“What does peace mean to you?”
Their answers were not only about a world without war. Again and again, they spoke of the small, everyday things that make life meaningful: sharing a meal with family, feeling safe, being able to smile today, being accepted for who you are, and living in harmony with others and nature.
Last year, 1,247 peace voices from 73 countries were gathered and shared with the world.

Toward the International Day of Peace on September 21, we invite young people everywhere to help create an active Peace Voices Map. Each new voice will be added to the map, showing what peace looks like through the eyes and words of young people around the world.
This is more than simply sending a video. It is an opportunity to add your peace voice and help show the world that peace begins in many different places, in many different ways.
