Our local Peace Pole in West Sacramento – Peace Within Us. Peace Between Us.
In June 2026, I planted and dedicated our own monument to Peace at our Main Drain Parkway Community Garden in West Sacramento, California, along with Founder of Peace Poles For Schools Army Major (Ret.) Reneé Marie. Our Peace Pole is inscribed with the phrase “May Peace Prevail On Earth®” in the 8 languages most commonly spoken in West Sacramento (English, Spanish, Russian, Hindi, Tagalog, Chinese (Mandarin), Vietnamese, Hmong), as well as Braille. And a QR code on the street side of the Peace Pole takes you to worldpeace.org and the Virtual Global Peace Pole Map.

with Officiant Susan Rueppel, Peace Pole Activist, Army Major (Ret.) Reneé Marie, founder of Peace Poles for Schools,
West Sacramento Mayor Martha Guerrero, and City Councilmember Dr. Dawnté Early
We were honored by the participation of West Sacramento dignitaries – Mayor Martha Guerrero and District 3 City Councilmember Dr. Dawnté Early who shared their vision of Peace during our Dedication Ceremony. We were happy to hear from Mayor Guerrero that she had just returned from the U.S. Conference of Mayors where they “continue to push a resolution to establish peace around the world.” Dr. Early shared that”…we stand united with everyone because we know that anywhere there is not justice and peace, that none of us are safe.” Participants at our Dedication Ceremony shared what peace means to them and how they are in action about peace.
