This year, I facilitated several ceremonies and peace activities, and I could not find time at the end of the month to write and send you a report each time.

Sunday, April 27th, we had a Peace Pole planting and a WPPC at Quingentole (Mantova) in Italy.

The members of the cultural association Civiltà da Abitare and I, as representatives in Italy of May Peace Prevail On Earth International, collaborated to create a beautiful Peace Day together with the children and families of Quingentole and others who joined from nearby towns.

The Civiltà da Abitare created an original Peace Pole, following the example of size and form that I had instructed them to use.

It was a wonderful and conscious ceremony to unite our sincere prayers of peace in each country of the world. The mayor delivered a significant speech, and a lady from Morocco shared a deeply touching message with all the participants. Her words still live in my heart.

“Please imagine a big white cloth in front of you. Now I place a single black spot there. Then everyone immediately stops seeing the whole picture. They see that black dot as a blemish, something unnecessary, something different from others, and fixate only on that black stain, not seeing the whole white cloth anymore. This is the cause of our conflicts, the root of our discriminatory thoughts.”

In Italy, even in my town with a small population of under 20,000, immigrants from approximately 70 countries have come to live. Understanding the differences in nationality, ethnicity, culture, religion, lifestyle, and ways of thinking, and accepting each person’s diversity as it is, is truly essential for building and maintaining peace among us and for living together harmoniously.

May Peace Prevail on Earth
Che la Pace Regni sulla Terra
世界人類が平和でありますように
