Peace Lives Here: A Peace Pole Gift at the Bahá’í Lotus Temple in Delhi, India.

At May Peace Prevail On Earth International, we believe peace can be cultivated and shared wherever we go.

Sometimes peace is planted in a garden, school, sanctuary, or community space, and sometimes it is shared through a ceremony, a conversation, a friendship, or given as a meaningful gift. Peace transcends languages and cultures. 

Recently at the Bahá’í Lotus Temple in Delhi, India, a tabletop wooden Peace Pole was presented as a gift to the Lotus Temple community. This particular Peace Pole carries the universal message May Peace Prevail On Earth ” in four languages: English, Japanese, French, and Spanish, offering a visible reminder of peace, unity, and goodwill for all people.

The Peace Pole was received by Dr. M.A. Ghanbari, the Lotus Temple General Manager, and Dr. A.K. Merchant, National Trustee cum Secretary of the Lotus Temple and Bahá’í Community of India. Dr. Merchant, who has been connected with the Lotus Temple since before it was built, shared a beautiful memory: many years ago, a World Peace Flag Ceremony was held at the Lotus Temple in Japanese, and the Temple was gifted a Peace Pole that now resides in a special place in their gifting room.

Representing May Peace Prevail On Earth International, Becky Suzik offered the Peace Pole alongside her husband and May Peace Prevail On Earth friend Robert Muns.

Becky has a supporting role with May Peace Prevail On Earth International and carries the intention that wherever she travels, she intends to leave peace behind ~ through friendship, kindness, connection, and when possible, Peace Poles.

The Lotus Temple is known around the world as a place of prayer, reflection, and welcome. To offer the message May Peace Prevail On Earth in this sacred space was a meaningful reminder that peace is possible in every heart, every faith tradition, every community, and every country.

We are grateful to Dr. Ghanbari, Dr. Merchant, and the Lotus Temple community for receiving this gift with such enthusiasm and joy.
