The Whoosh of Wings at the Peace Pole, Minneapolis, MN.

I was walking my dogs this morning in Minneapolis, MN, when this hawk popped out of nowhere about three feet in front of me, chased what sounded like a robin, missed, and then landed on my neighbor’s “May Peace Prevail on Earth” pole.

I felt the whoosh of wind from its mighty wings as it flew in front of me. I believe it is a juvenile Cooper’s hawk.
