Middleton Celebrates Lakeview Park with New Multilingual Peace Pole, Wisconsin, USA.

MIDDLETON — The Rotary Club of Madison West Middleton and city officials celebrated the completion of renovations to the Rotary Pier and the installation of a new Peace Pole at Lakeview Park.

The newly installed Peace Pole features the message “May Peace Prevail On Earth” in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese and Hmong. Peace Poles are part of a worldwide movement promoting peace and understanding and have been installed at notable locations around the world, including the Hiroshima Peace Memorial in Japan, the site of the Egyptian pyramids in Giza and the North Magnetic Pole.

Attendees toured the renovated pier and accessible fishing dock and learned more about the site’s history and the significance of the Peace Pole initiative.
