Happy Earth Day 2026! Caring for the Earth is an Act of Peace.

Happy Earth Day!

Earth Day, first observed in 1970, emerged as a unifying call to recognize our shared responsibility for the care of our planet. At a time of growing environmental awareness, it invited individuals and communities around the world to pause, reflect, and take meaningful action.

More than five decades later, that call remains as significant as ever.

At May Peace Prevail On Earth, the spirit of Earth Day is deeply aligned with our mission. The message “May Peace Prevail On Earth” is not only a prayer for humanity—it is a prayer for the Earth itself. It is a reminder that peace is not separate from the natural world, but rooted within it.

When we honor the Earth, we cultivate peace.

When we live in harmony with nature, we strengthen the foundation for a more compassionate and sustainable world.

One of the most visible expressions of this intention is the Peace Pole.

Placed in communities, businesses, gardens, schools, and sacred spaces around the world, each Peace Pole carries a simple yet profound message. It stands as both a symbol and a commitment—a daily invitation to live with greater awareness, kindness, and respect for all life.

In recent years, this commitment has expanded to include direct environmental action.

Through a long-standing partnership with Trees for the Future, every physical Peace Pole planted contributes to global reforestation efforts. For each pole, ten trees are planted in Africa, supporting not only ecological restoration but also sustainable livelihoods for local communities.

This initiative began in July 2010 and has since resulted in the planting of over 61,500 trees.

Each tree planted represents more than environmental impact—it is a living extension of the prayer for peace. A quiet act of restoration. A step toward balance.

This Earth Day, we are reminded that even the smallest actions, when guided by intention, can ripple outward in meaningful ways.

We invite you to honor Earth Day:

Plant a virtual Peace Pole on our global map, adding your voice to a worldwide expression of peace,
Or place a physical Peace Pole in your community, creating a lasting symbol of unity and care.

In doing so, you join a global movement—one that honors the Earth not only in words, but through tangible, collective action.

May this Earth Day be a moment of reconnection.
With the Earth.
With each other. And with the shared vision of a peaceful and thriving world.
