Zufar Xusniddinov, Peace Pals International Finalists 2025, Age 7, Uzbekistan
January 20, 2026
Received from Parents of Zufar
When the news arrived that Zufar’s artwork had been selected as a finalist in the 2025 Peace Pals International Art Contest, joy filled his world. He told everyone he could, friends at school, relatives at home, anyone who would listen, that he had won his first international award. Their pride and happiness wrapped around him like a warm embrace, giving him new confidence. It made him want to draw even more, to dream bigger, and to believe that his art truly mattered.

Zufar is seven years old and lives in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he attends School No. 6. He was born on June 30, 2018. He discovered his love for drawing at the age of five, and since then he has filled three entire albums with his artwork, each page a reflection of his imagination and the world as he sees it.
When asked why he creates art and what freedom means to him, Zufar answered simply, the way children often do, with honesty and wonder. He said he loves nature and enjoys picnics with his family. To him, freedom is good weather, clean places with no trash, climbing mountains, and watching the sun slowly set in the sky. In his drawings, those feelings of freedom come alive, shaped by a child who sees beauty in the world and believes it should be protected.
