Peace Pole Planted at Heritage Square – Walla Walla, Washington – USA

April 12, 2025

Following Walla Walla Noon Rotary’s second annual Cultivate Peace Conference on Saturday, April 12, the organization dedicated a second Peace Pole in the city.

The Peace Pole is now at Heritage Square near the Friendship Bridge on South Spokane Street and is meant to represent inclusive peace among all people. Thousands of Peace Poles have been planted around the world.

Jan Corn, co-chair of Rotary’s peace committee, said Peace Poles were the most prominent international symbol and monument of peace. The new Peace Pole, just like the one placed last year at Walla Walla Community College, reads, “May Peace Prevail On Earth” in eight languages that are most common in the Walla Walla Valley.
