Peace Pole in the Hüttener Berge Nature Park, Schleswig-Holstein – Germany

This August the Schleswig Holstein Newspaper (SHZ) featured 22 wonderful spots to make an excursion to in summer
and one spot is the below nature park named „Hüttener Mountains“. They featured a photo of the park with our peace pole and mentioned the Peace Pole Project in the article.
An atmosphere just like in a pre-Alpine landscape even if the Baltic Sea is only a few kilometers away.
Schoothorst belongs to the Community of Ascheffel and is right in the middle of the wildlife park(natural preserve) „Hüttener Mountains“. If offers a sensational view over wood and soft hills.
Particularly beautiful is the view into the Schoothorst valley, where one can also find a peace pole.
It is one of 200.000 poles worldwide, which spread the peace prayer, “May Peace Prevail On Earth“.
Whoever is looking for peace and tranquility far away from the rush, this is your place. Special light effects of the sun in the evening hours give this place a magic touch.
You can reach the valley by following hiking route no. 8 starting in Aschber and passing the Bismarck statue.
