A Peace Pole Brings Together a Community with The Angelican Church of St. James and St. Brendan in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada.

The Congregation of St. James and St. Brendan Anglican Church in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada led by the Rev. Canon David R. Linn, Interim Priest, dedicated the parish’s Peace Pole at the main service.

Following the service, some members of the parish went across the road to install their new symbol of Peace and Unity in a vacant lot that is soon to be named Mariners Park. h

The Church bought the property and has revitalized it, turning it into a place where members of the community can gather for any number of activities and celebrations.

The planting of their own Peace Pole in the emerging Mariner’s Park, at the corner of King and Charlotte Streets, will continue a tradition of celebration and Prayers for “Peace in our homes, in our community, in our country and in our world”. Per Rev. Canon David R. Linn, of The Anglican Parish of St. James and St. Brendan.

We thank all who helped this project of restoration and planting of Peace Pole become a reality for the community of Port Colborne.
