Arbuckle Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony-International Day of Peace – USA

Arbuckle Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony-International Day of Peace-USA

September 21st, 2012

Ms. Estrada as mentioned is the Mother of the Fallen Soldier who I was assigned to as the Casualty Assistance Officer. I asked her if she would like to honor the memory of her Son, Rueben “Boy” Lopez, killed in Afghanistan 11 AUG 2011, with a Peace Pole on the campus of his elementary school, Williams, California. Since that Peace Pole Dedication, she has become quite passionate about the WPPS mission. She purchased 5 Peace Poles after her Son’s dedication. A Peace Pole went to each of her 4 daughters and one was for her front yard.

She agrees that every school needs a Peace Pole. She was instrumental in getting a Peace Pole on her granddaughter’s school campus in Roseville, CA.
Altogether, she has helped to put 8 Peace Poles out in the world :o) !

In the 1st photo, Ms. Gloria Estrada is 2nd to my left (Renee Silva is 1st on my left). Gloria is the Mother of Rueben “Boy” Lopez, KIA, 11 AUG 2011, Nalgham, Afghanistan.
