People braved the cold to stand outside in solidarity at a community vigil and protest at the Ela Peace Pole in downtown Lake Zurich.
Yes, this Peace Pole exists in Lake Zurich, Illinois! It’s located at 95 East Main Street and was installed to celebrate the community’s diversity and promote peace. It features the word “peace” in over 60 languages and is illuminated at night.
The dedication ceremony was held on the International Day of Peace in September 2023, as part of the Ela Peace Project.
