Peace Pole Planted at Children’s Park, Woodend, Victoria, Australia
Posted December 16, 2025
Students from St. Ambrose Primary School and Braemar College were honoured to join the Rotary Woodend Peace Pole Ceremony at their beautiful local children’s park! Together, they celebrated the global message, “May Peace Prevail on Earth,” with readings in English, Dja Dja Wurrung, and Bislama (Vanuatu).

The Year 5 students shared what peace means to them:
“A smile for a friend, a hand to help out… with kindness we’ll share, and love will bloom bright.”
“Peace means everything is fair, equal, and right.”
“Respecting each other’s differences and cultures creates harmony.”
“Peace means people in Ukraine and Gaza are not afraid to step outside.”
“No being rude, no yelling—just happiness, laughter, and caring for others.”
“Peace is how we connect with love and calmness in our everyday lives.”
“Community coming together, showing kindness and love to everyone.”

A huge thank you to Woodend Rotary in Victoria, and the schools for their inspiring work in spreading peace and unity! ![]()
