Peace Pole at Glencoe High School, Hillsboro, Oregon, USA

On Thursday, November 6th, Hillsboro Rotary Club dedicated a Peace Pole at Glencoe High School. Principal Claudia Ruff welcomed and thanked Hillsboro Rotary for the gift of the Peace Pole. A large group of students gathered and helped celebrate the event. Superintendent Travis Reimann, a member of the Hillsboro Rotary Club, was in attendance, as well as Don Surhbier, Jecelyn Santana-Delgado, Marina Kostel, and Jim Dooman.
Rotary Past President Donna Bosak told the history of the Peace Pole and presented a certificate acknowledging and celebrating the planting of the Peace Pole on the Glencoe campus.
The Peace Pole ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 5th at 11:30 am.
