In celebration of the 15th anniversary of Global Love Day, friends and supporters were invited to submit their entries to the Global Love Day Peace Pole Awards.  The awards program was hosted by The Love Foundation in partnership with May Peace Prevail On Earth International/Peace Pole Project.

Participants representing every continent of the world submitted their entries by sharing how they inspire others with peace and love and what it means to celebrate humanity.  Participants also wrote about where they would plant the Peace Pole should they win and why they have chosen that location.

Let's Congratulate Our Winners!

Where will you plant your Peace Pole to share the message May Peace Prevail On Earth and why?

The Peace Pole will be installed in my school premise to disseminate the intent to the children.

The children in turn will pass it to their parents and the community. It will be infused to the young minds that will be rejuvenated all times.

How do you inspire others and yourself with peace and love?

I inspire others and myself with peace and love by being true to myself. By knowing that I'm flawed, but I'm still worthy of love and understanding. Knowing this has helped me keeping the same energy and spirit with others. We are all flawed, and we are different in colours, races, religions and beliefs- but we are all worthy of love and understanding. While loving and being true to myself, I know that we can be at peace when we celebrate our individuality and acknowledge other people's differences too.

What does it mean to you to celebrate our humanity?

By being self-compassionate. To live and allow myself to be who I am at my best and at my worst is to honour Life, this Life that is a gift with all of its good and bad. In doing so, my Life then becomes a practice of compassion where I am able to allow others to be who they are also. Celebrating our humanity comes with seeing who we are at our best and at our worst and still finding that THERE is Love, right where we are.
