Windsor Community Garden Peace Pole in Windsor, Colorado-USA

Three of us, Boni Fanning, Lynn Rauer, and I, donated this Peace Pole to our town – Windsor – in honor of its 125 year anniversary. We wanted to honor Windsor’s history through the languages chosen – Germans for the Germans who came here from Russia, Russian for our people who speak Russian, Spanish for our community, and English as our common language.

This location – the Windsor Community Garden – was chosen for its quiet, contemplative surrounding as well as for the fact that many people travel this part of the Poudre Trail. Some come through walking, some running, some on bicycles, and even some on roller blades. No matter how people come through, they will now have a place to sit, rest a while, and contemplate the meaning of the Peace Pole.

Each language shares the same message, “May Peace Prevail on Earth.” This is a simple, non-debatable message. It’s loving, universal, and a silent reminder for ALL life on earth.

Words carry vibrations strong enough to inspire, heal, and transform the human heart as well as the Kingdom of plants, animals and all creation. “May Peace Prevail on Earth” is an all inclusive message and prayer. It is a meeting place of the heart bringing together people of all faiths, backgrounds and cultures to embrace the Oneness of our planetary family. The message is intended to embrace the lands and people of this Earth.
