About Pushkar Shah and his “Mission for World Peace” NEPAL

On November 29, 1998 Pushkar Shah set out on an 11 year long journey to capture his dream of riding 221,000-kilometers around the world on a bicycle to spread the message of peace and hope for his country Nepal and for the world. This mission is not about material gain or international fame. It is simply about spreading the message of peace. If you see a Nepalese guy panting and puffing on a bicycle with a sticker “I ride therefore I am” please yield and for one second think about how you as an individual can contribute to world peace.

By July 2009, in his 10th year on tour, Pushkar had visited 150 countries in Asia, Asia Pacific, North America, Central America, South America, Caribbean, Africa, Middle East and Europe. His mission is to complete the world tour in 2010.

During his tour, Pushkar visit schools and clubs in different communities to speak about Peace, Respect for All Religions and Cultures, Living in Harmony, Respect for Human Rights and Democratic Values. He often gets the opportunity to meet with civic leaders to exchange views.

Pushkar Shaw’s second dream is to climb to the top of Mount Everest with flags collected from around the world.

He is proud to announce that he successfully accomplished this goal, on May 17th, 2010.

MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH
